How it works?

How Norfolk Knowledge works

Norfolk Knowledge is providing services to two distinct groups: experienced individuals or local organisations requesting assistance. The process for signing up differs depending on which group you are joining:

Norfolk Knowledge also works with a range of partners to open up this opportunity to as many people as possible.

Experienced Individuals

After understanding what Norfolk Knowledge is and the types of organisation it helps, experienced individuals can then register as members of the network using the following process:

Using the sign up button to the right of every screen, please click on the tab designated for experienced individuals

You will be taken to an electronic form, which will ask for contact information and your main field of experience within the workplace.

This form will be sent to the admin team at Norfolk Knowledge.

A member of the admin team will contact you for an informal chat regarding your membership and understanding/expectations of the project. 

If accepted into the membership you will be sent instructions on creating a profile within the Norfolk Knowledge membership area, as well as our members' code of conduct.

You will then be able to update your profile with details of your experience and peruse requests for help, which are posted in the members' area. 

If you feel can assist with any of these requests for help, please folllow the instructions included within each request.   

While in the members' area you can also contact other members.

Local Organisations

After understanding who and how Norfolk Knowledge can help, local organisations, or 'requesters' are ready to request help from members of Norfolk Knowledge using the following process:

Using the sign up button to the right of every screen, please click on the tab designated for local organisations.

You will be taken to a electronic form which will ask for contact information and details of your request for help.

This form will be sent to the admin team at Norfolk Knowledge.

A member of the admin team will contact you to talk through your request, in order to get a full understanding of your requirements.

A member of the team will liaise with you to write a short 'advert' outlining who you are, your challenge, the assistance you seek.  At this stage a copy of our terms and conditions is sent to you, you will be asked to sign and return it.

This request will then be posted inside the members' area of the website, for members to peruse and flag interest to the admin team.

The admin team will inform you of this interest and swap appropriate contact details between both parties (requester and member)

The 'knowledge-relationship' starts.
